Unit 2 - Called Into Covenant With God
October 1 God's Covenant With Abram, Genesis 15:1-6, 17-21
Purpose: To have the courage to question and to trust in the Word of God
October 8 "God's Covenant With Israel" Exodus 19:16-25
Purpose: To eagerly anticipate meeting God in many ways and in many places
October 15 "God's Written Covenant" Exodus 20:18-26
Purpose: To embrace the presence of God in awe, wonder, and commitment to doing God's will
October 22 "God's Covenant with David" 2 Samuel 7:1-6, 8-10, 12-16
Purpose: To discern how God has guided our lives with purpose and faithful love
October 29 "God's Covenant With the Returned Exiles" Nehemiah 9:32-38
Purpose: To be able to admit our faults and pledge ourselves to a life that honors our relationship with God
Men's Only Faith Enrichment Class - "The Man Code"
This is the place where true discussion can take place around your personal relationship with God and others. Join the men as they dive into - Creation: A Divine Cycle. This class is for ages 19-up.
Spiritual Formation - Faith Enrichment Class - Worshiping God with Our Lives
When some people think of “a life of worship,” they think of the fifteen minutes or two hours, depending on their denomination, that they spend on their feet on a Sunday morning in church. They may think of the CDs they play in the house as they attack the daily chores. Yet while those certainly represent an act worship, they don’t represent a life of worship. In this study readers will discover how Jesus lived every moment of every day with a “yes” in His spirit to His Father. They will see how His declared intent was solely to do the will of His Father, how He worshiped as He healed the blind and the lame, and even how He worshiped in the Garden of Gethsemane as He prayed that the cup of the wrath of God might pass from Him. They will be encouraged to live a similar life of worship to their heavenly Father.
